Thanks for using Valence and for checking out our Privacy Policy.

We understand the importance of protecting personal information. For this reason, we strive to have business procedures and safeguards in place to protect personal information under our control.

Application and Scope

This Privacy Policy (“Policy“) is intended to establish responsible and transparent practices for the management of personal information and satisfy the relevant and applicable legal requirements. This Policy sets out the standards, responsibilities and obligations of Get Pegasus Inc. (here forth known as “Valence“, “we” or “our“) in respect of any personal information collected, accessed or processed by Valence in the course of its business operations.

This Policy also governs personal information collected about Users (“you” or “your“) during the use of the Valence website(s), Valence Tools Platform, and/or other related applications or services (collectively the “Service“). This Policy explains how we use and disclose personal information collected from people who use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service, by completing the registration form, by clicking or tapping on a button indicating your acceptance of this Policy, and/or by executing a document that references this Policy, you are providing your consent for the collection and use of your personal information as laid out in this Policy. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting privacy@valence.co

What information do we collect and how is that information collected?

We collect information relating to you and your use of the Service from a variety of sources. Some of this information is collected directly from you and some of this information is collected from your interaction with the Service, or from third-parties.

Information you provide:

  • Contact information:
    When you provide us with your contact information, whether through use of the
    Service, a form on our website, or an interaction with our sales or customer support team, we collect your contact information. This information may include your name, email address, and company or organization name.
  • Registration details:
    When you register an account we collect your name, email address, company name, and a password you create.
  • Survey & Exercise data:
    When you create, launch or complete surveys and exercises using the Service, we will store those questions, responses and other information related to those surveys and exercises.
  • Billing details:
    If you use a credit card for billing, our credit card processor may collect information such as the cardholder’s name, billing address, email address, credit card number, expiry date and credit card security code. We do not have access to any of this billing information directly.

    Information we collect automatically:
  • Cookies:
    When you use the Service, we may store one or more “cookies” – a small data file – or other forms of storing information in the browser on your device. These allow us to recognize your browser and login session, store your settings, understand how you used the Service to improve the Service, perform analytics, debug errors and maintain security. Some are temporary session cookies which disappear after you close your browser, while others are persistent and usually remain stored on your device by the browser until they expire, or you delete them by following your web browser’s directions. You can configure your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the Service may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.
  • Log Files:
    Our Service and our service providers (which are third-party services that we use to enhance the Service) may record information sent by your web browser while you use the Service, and store them in log files for us. These logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device information such as browser type and operating system, referring / exit pages and URLs, and click and usage data as you interact with our Service. We do this to improve our Service, for system analytics, or to monitor or improve functionality.
  • Third Party Service Providers:
    Valence uses third-party services, such as Google Analytics, to help understand the use of the Service and solve problems that occur. Many of these services collect the information sent by your browser including the Service’s cookies and your IP address. Their use of this information is governed by their privacy policies.
  • Onward Transfer:
    In the context of an onward transfer, Valence has responsibility for the processing of personal information it receives under this Privacy Policy and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Valence shall remain liable under the Policy if its agent processes such personal information in a manner inconsistent with the Policy, unless it proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

How do we use the information we collect?

When providing our Service, we only process personal information in accordance with this Policy, our Terms of Use and applicable laws. Valence generally uses personal information from or about our Users for the following purposes:

  • to create, establish, and administer a User’s account, to respond to a User’s inquiries related to its account, and to contact a User about the Service or account-related matters;
  • to provide services, including to provide Users with access to use of the Valence Tools Platform and customer support;
  • to measure and analyze Users behavior in order to, among others, monitor, maintain, and improve our Service or features and to create new services or features;
  • to personalize or customize the experience when using the Service;
  • to meet legal and regulatory requirements and to allow Valence to meet contractual requirements relating to the services provided to the User; and
  • to provide Users with offers for additional Valence products and services that we offer, that we believe may be of interest to the User. As a User you will always have control over the type and frequency of the emails you receive, and you can opt out by following the instructions in the message. Your personal information will not be passed on to third-party services for their own direct marketing purposes.

Valence may also use information provided by Users to create de-identified data aggregated for benchmarking or to improve our Service.

Unless required or authorized by law, Valence will not use User's personal information for any other or new purpose without obtaining prior consent.

Artificial Intelligence

Our AI-enabled coaching tool uses artificial intelligence to provide coaching recommendations that are based on user-provided information. The tool analyzes information provided by users, and then proposes new topics to discuss and makes recommendations about next steps. The outputs from the service are based on information given explicitly from the user, as well as information inferred from the conversation, and past conversations, if applicable.

The information processed by our models includes name, seniority and other information provided by users, and we process data using AI to provide, maintain, develop, and improve our products and services and to fulfill our agreements. We do not use your data to train our model or any underlying models. We share the information with our service providers that support the service, but they do not use it to train their underlying models. Information shared with our service providers may be transferred internationally as described below.

Please note that the output of our AI-enabled services may not always be 100% accurate, and it must be reviewed for accuracy and appropriateness for your use case, including using human review where appropriate.

For more information about your rights and how to exercise those rights (including how to withdraw your consent or opt-out of automated decision-making where applicable), please review the “What are your rights to your personal information?” section of this Policy. If you notice that the output of the services contains factually inaccurate information about you and you would like us to correct the inaccuracy, you may submit a correction request by email to privacy@valence.co. However, because of the technical complexity of how our models work, we may not be able to correct the inaccuracy in every instance. You may also request that we remove your personal data from our output by contacting us at privacy@valence.co.

Who has access to your personal information?

Your information will never be sold. Ever.

To provide you with our Service, we work with third-party providers to help improve the Service. There will be instances where we process your information using these third-party services and tools in order for us to offer our Service to you. When we disclose your personal information to third-parties such as our suppliers, we sign confidentiality and data processing agreements with them to ensure they maintain confidentiality and have privacy and security standards to protect your personal information. We require third party controllers and agents to at least comply to the same level of privacy protection as is required by this Privacy Policy.

We may share aggregated de-identified data for any purpose. For example, we may share aggregated de-identified data with customers, prospects, partners for business or research purposes, such as our survey benchmarks.

Valence uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information, once we receive it. We continuously and regularly back up your data to help prevent data loss and aid in data recovery. In the event that personally identifiable information is compromised as a result of a breach of security, Valence will promptly notify those persons whose personally identifiable information has been compromised or as otherwise required by applicable law.
